As the sole orthodontist at Mohr Orthodontics, Dr. Mohr personally evaluates every patient, creates every treatment plan, and oversees every case from beginning to end. He believes patients should always know who’s directing their care and have confidence that the same experienced orthodontist is guiding their smile at every appointment.
Dr. Mohr also believes patients and parents should play an active role in treatment decisions. Dr. Mohr earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh before completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Travis Air Force Base. After practicing general dentistry for three years, he pursued his passion for orthodontics by earning his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science (MS) degree from the University of California, San Francisco.
His background in both general dentistry and orthodontics gives him a comprehensive understanding of how healthy, functional bites support beautiful, lasting smiles.

Dr. Mohr completed an intensive two-year postgraduate orthodontic program led by Dr. Rick McLaughlin, a clinical professor at the University of Southern California and internationally recognized orthodontic educator. He also completed the two-year Pitts Master of Finishing program under Dr. Thomas Pitts, the creator of the Pitts 21 self-ligating braces system, where he focused on advanced finishing techniques that enhance both smile aesthetics and bite function.
His continuing education also includes instruction from Dr. Jason B. Cope, a leader in in-house clear aligner systems and digital orthodontic workflows, as well as Dr. G. William “Bill” Arnett, a renowned expert in oral and maxillofacial surgery, whose work has helped shape modern facially driven treatment planning.

Originally from Casper, Wyoming, Dr. Mohr has always enjoyed spending time outdoors. If he hadn’t become an orthodontist, he says he would have loved to be a game warden. Today, he enjoys camping, fishing, and boating with his wife and two sons whenever they can get away.
Dr. Mohr is also passionate about supporting the Albuquerque community, which he has proudly served since 2003. Mohr Orthodontics regularly supports local schools, 4-H clubs, the Youth Symphony, Special Olympics, and other community organizations. He also participates in local interdisciplinary study clubs, collaborating with fellow dental professionals to help provide exceptional care for patients with complex treatment needs.
